New Hair Cut!

Here is a great Picture of Aden's new hair cut! Thanks to Courtney (I stole this picture off her blog)....if you are wondering why his hair is so short when it is still so cold, well I had the clippers out and was trimming the bottom part of his hair and trimming around his ears...well the back went okay but while trimming around his ears Aden decided the haircut was not his thing at all and moved very suddenly.....from the picture above you can imagine what the result of that one movement was....it took a nice sized chunk out of the hair on the top of his head. Well after deciding it was too far gone to try and cover it up I commenced an hour long hair cutting session that was anything but fun. After which we both had to bath and change clothes and during which a lot of frustration was had on both sides. Funny thing about it was, I cut Chris's hair the same length a couple days before. So now I just say they got twin hair cuts and try not to miss his beautiful long thick hair too much.

Yikes!.....Oh it's just you

So here they are my little blue nosed boys! Aden got a play dough play set for Christmas and well we have had some fun adventures so far. This is by far my favorite! Chris and Aden were playing with play dough this morning. For some reason, beyond my comprehension, the boys decided to hide their noses with the blue polymer. After doing so they decided they would find mommy to give her blue nose kisses. Aden was so cute and when he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror he made the funniest face and couldn't stop looking at himself! I myself loved the blue nosed kisses and thought it was great! Sorry for the poor quality of photo I didn't have my camera on me so it was taken with my phone. Regardless these are the cutest blue nosed boys I have ever seen!!!

Aden is a Bi Bo Now!

So we had Aden's two year doctors appointment last week and I wanted to let every one know that he is getting to be such a big boy!....Or in his words a "Bi Bo"
His measurements are inaccurate because he chose that moment to have a major meltdown.....it was so bad we couldn't get weight or height. The only measurement that might be accurate was the head circumference which put him in the 70% for his age. He was almost three feet tall....which according to things I have heard....where you take the babies measurements at two and double them and you have roughly how tall your baby will be all grown up.....means that Aden will be roughly 6 feet tall! Which isn't really a surprise to me and I doubt it will be to anyone else...he comes from tall genes. As far as weight goes, it is over 25lbs that is all I know....because that is how much he weighed at 18months and he surely has gained weight since then.
In Aden's defence he didn't have his nap and fell asleep five minutes before the doctor's appointment so we had to wake him up:(....I would be cranky too!
I am still planing on doing pictures for his 2nd Birthday but this week has been crazy with work so I will probably do it this weekend or next week. So I will post them when I can:)!

Two and Lovin' it!

Ok so I am only a couple weeks behind now :). And as Mary so kindly reminded me I have yet to get pictures of Aden's 2nd birthday on the Blog....not so good for someone who pledged just last week to be better at keeping things up to date....Any way Aden turned two on the 14th and because I was working we decided to have a party for him on Friday the 16th that just included grandparents and a few aunts and uncles and a couple cousins....no uncles were able to make it due to work, school, or illness....but we had a full house regardless!

Aden was loving every minute of the party! He was showered with gifts.....thank you every one :D! And well lets just say our house hasn't been clean since due to the overwhelming number of toys I will have to go through the old ones...again....and see if I can't find a good home for them to make room for the new ones. After gifts we had ice cream and cake. I made a Wow Wow Wubbzy cake. To anyone who knows Aden you will know he has a few favorite shows and well right now nothing even comes close to Wubbzy. Nemo is still a contender when it comes to movies and we have discovered Wall-e that Aden seems to love despite the strong political overtones.....Any way the pictures are of Aden blowing out the candles which didn't work....deciding to touch the fire because blowing wasn't working...mommy kissing finger better after touching hot fire (please excuse the scary picture no time or energy for makeup or hair after getting ready for the party)...then successfully blowing out candles yeah!!!

I hope to do some pictures of Aden soon for his 2 years. I also have a new family picture to post....soon I hope. Thanks for all the loyal followers for your patience and for your reminders when I drop the ball ;).

Blog Neglect :(

OK SO any loyal fans of this blog I must start out with an apology. I am so sorry for the past few months of blog neglect. I have been recovering from wedding and holiday mayhem:). So here is Christmas morning Aden style. He got a Diego bike and a lights and sounds tool bench. He also got from grandma and grandpa a cool tent with sleeping bag and accessories. Needless to say he had so much fun and loved all the wonderful and generous gifts from every one.

Stork and Santa

So I will post pictures of Christmas Morning soon but I was reminded that I promised to share a special Christmas delivery that was a nice surprise. These four little cuties arrived some time Christmas Day! They now have their eyes open and are super cute! Any one that is looking for a great family pet that is super smart. They will be ready to go in about 3-4 weeks. They aren't papered so they are a little cheaper :).

Wedding Bells!

Congrats to the newly weds. Here are a couple of cute pictures taken at the Manti Temple on Dec. 13th! The wind was blowing like crazy!!!! So we got a few pictures and got out of there:). I have more pictures from the reception but the Bride and Groom haven't even seen them yet!

Then a week latter we had the open house it Taylorsville. The roads were REALLY scary but there were still lots of friends and family who braved the weather to show support. Thank you to all those who made both events special for Courtney and Dale:)!

Blogin' again

Ah Blogging again :). So between the wedding the open house and then Christmas I have had so much to blog about and so little time. So I figured I would fill every one in on all the details a little bit at a time to avoid the blog overload. Fist on my list is a second trip on Santa's lap for Aden. We went to our ward party where Santa was in attendence. Aden sat on his lap again to make sure Santa knew that he was a good boy this year. Check back for my next post......The Wedding!!! and soon after that we have Christmas and a Christmas delivery that was a special surprise.

Dear Santa,

Yippy! Aden went to the City Christmas Party with his dad and Auntie Laura...Thank you Laura for all your help :).

What would a Christmas Party be without Santa? Well while other kids waited patiently and excitedly Aden was not so sure....until they showed him the candy:).

Aden was really into the giant inflated train. He was all over the place and is starting to really enjoy these events :). I was sad because I didn't get to go but at least they got some pictures so I could see.

New layouts and animation!

Thanks for the great tips I really have been getting more and more in the Christmas spirit the closer it gets. Sounds like every one has great things that they use to get that holliday cheer flowing :). I got some blog layouts done and one animation so far and it has really helped. Gettin into the Holiday Spirit

As far back as I can remember, I loved Christmas. From about November on I counted the days hours and minutes til Christmas. I thought that the magic just wore off as I got older but last year I was so excited for Christmas because it was Aden's first. This year in theory I should be even more excited because he gets so excited about things and has even more personality than last year. But I have been struggling this year to force myself to be excited for Christmas. I have finally decided I am so consumed with wedding and other things to really enjoy everything. So I did the only thing I could think of, I made some Christmas Blog Layouts. That along with some animations and adding Christmas songs to my play list, I am hopping will do the trick. The funny thing is I am done Christmas shopping earlier this year than any other year and yet, still not in the mood. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear what everyone else does to get this Christmas spirit in their homes.
