The Garden surviving Aden!

As many of you know I have grown a garden the last couple of years. Well since we have spent the last couple of weeks traveling and getting ready to travel, my garden has suffered a little.....okay so the weeds took over...my bad.
So I have spent the last couple of days trying to catch up on the weeds..(it will never happen:( but I can try). Well yesterday my mom had Aden while I weeded, but today I had a little helper.

He thought what I was doing was a fun game and didn't understand I was pulling weeds and trowing them into a pile.......he thougth I was picking up mud and throwing it...so naturally he did that too:)
So there he is picking up mud....and throwing it! And then smiling so big because he helped!

It would have been great if that was all he helped with but.........alas he found that my peper plants had little baby peppers on them and desided to harvest one of them while I wasn't looking....:) I had to laugh because he was so proud of what he had done. After trieing to get the dogs to fetch it a couple of times he started digging into it with his fingers, bound and determined to find out what was inside. This kid kills me sometimes:) I just hope some of the pepers and other veggies make it til they are at least ripe! I love that Aden is so helpful and wants to see, feel, and know everything.... so I guess if we don't get alot of survivors I will be okay:) Earlier he was feeding the dogs and would get a peice of dogfood out of the bag put it in the dog's dish and say "here go" while Clover would snarf the food as fast as he would give it to her:) You gotta love this little guy!

Survival of the Bingham Family Reunion 2008

Ok so the drive was crazy long but besides that we had sooooo much fun! We left around noon on Thursday and drove straight to Clovis CA where Chris's Grandma and Grandpa Bingham live. We got there late at night and gave hugs visited a little bit and fell over from exhaustion. In the morning we got more time to visit and spent some quality time with Melody the newest member of the family who, Chris, Aden, and myslef had never met. We also spent time with Chris's sisters and brother. His sister Brooke and her son Cameron had never met Aden so we were so excited for them to meet too! After a big breakfast we all packed up and headed for Shaver Lake. We got there and met and greeted the extended family and set up camp. By the time we got all that done it was time for dinner and bed. From the pictures you can see we had alot of fun fishing, swimming ,playing on kyaks, and jetski's. We went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house on Sunday and then left early on Monday. It was a whirl wind trip but was worth it! I have added some more pictures to the slide show, enjoy!

City Summer Celebration!

CastleDale City had it's yearly "kick off the summer" party. There were all kinds activities that started in the morning and lasted all day:). Since Chris is a City employee it meant he had to work on Saturday but Aden and I made the best of it by spending as much time with him at the park as possible. We played on the playground equiptment before brunch. I got a little camera happy but Aden was being super cute!! Then we had brunch and Aden decided before we ate that he wanted to ride the "gattor" with Chris....it is a mix between a tractor and a golf cart:). He climbed in to it all by himself and wanted to drive it. After brunch and some more playing on the playground we came home for naps and then latter some lunch....Aden was too busy to eat much at brunch. In the afternoon Chris had to go and help with a funeral (part of his job) so we chilled out at home til 3 when the games for all the kids took place. They had all kinds of inflatable games like a bouncy house, an obstacle course and a slide that they added water too for extra fun! Since Aden was loveing the slide earlier and of course loves water we thought he might like the water slide. So we asked a kid we know that is a little older and was going on the slide anyways if he would take Aden down. Well if you can't tell from the pictures we were wrong about the the slide being fun. He decided he wasn't real big on the idea when he was almost to the top and it was clear on the way down and most especially when he hit the water pooled at the bottom that he hated it. After he got off the slide and finally stopped crying we got a couple of pictures of him being a "cool dude" with his sunglasses on basking in the sun and drying off. Then the funniest thing happened while I was talking to an old work friend...Aden took the hand of my friends little daughter and they started walking around hand in hand it was soooo cute!!! After all the fun we had dinner and the then watched the kids rodeo. It was fun to watch but Aden was really tiered and was getting a little restless and because Chris had to help with the rodeo I was left to chase Aden by myself and called it a night early at 8:30, which is past Aden's bedtime anyway. He fell asleep on the way home he was soooo tiered! The poor guy was so sticky and sweaty that we didn't want to but had to wake him to shower him off. But he fell right back to sleep once he was bathed and jammied:) It was a long day but super fun!!!! Hope you like the pictures, we love you all, The Bingham's

He was ready for a nap when I got the camera out so it isn't as good as it could be but he really is sooo cute I couldn't help but share it:)! Love you all, Chris, Monica, and Aden

New Hair cuts!!!!

So yesterday I got my hair cut and then came home and cut Chris's and Aden's hair so we decided since everyone looked so good with their new hair that we would do family pictures and get them printed for father's day. So if you are a grandpa or a dad in our family you will be getting these pictures if you haven't got them already! Aden, as most of you know, hates haveing his hair cut but did okay yesterday I think because he watched his dad get his hair cut first. We even used the clippers and he was fine with those it is the scissors that he hates. But we hiked through mud and goop to get to my parent's bottom pasture where we took the pictures so I hope you enjoy.
And for those wondering what a nunny nose looks like here is a picture of Aden doing his nunny nose impression.

A Tribute to Dads!!!

Here is to the dads in our lives. For all that they have done for us and all that they do for us every day, thank you so very much. We hope you know how much we love you every day but most especially this father's day:)!!!

Some of these pictures are older but we don't see some of our family as much as we would like. But luckily we will be seeing alot of our Bingham family the end of this month when we go to California for the Bingham family reunion!!!! We are so excited to see every one, and for every one to see Aden and the cute little boy he is becoming! As for an update on that...he is talking up a storm and he even puts together sentences now....they don't always make alot of sence but he is trieing. He is a little parret though and he loves copieing his dad. When Chris calls him a turkey he parrets back "curcky".

My sister Laura is visiting from Wyoming and brought with her some pet bunnies that Aden calls "nunnies" and he wrinkles his nose up and down like the nunnies it is SOOOO cute!!!

For those that don't know Aden loves the movie Finding Nemo, and loves every thing Nemo, and well whenever he sees a fish he says "Nemo!" whether it looks like Nemo or not. He has alot of Nemo stuff, for which I blame myself, I just think it is so cute to hear him say Nemo. He is also becoming a polite little gentleman. When every he wants somthing he will say "plea" which is his way of saying please and he also does the sign language for please at the same time and no one can resist him:)! Then when you give him what he wants he says "dant you" which means thank you and it just melts your heart!

As for the rest of us we are doing well and are so excited for the summer months where we get to travel and family and friends come to see us!!! We love you all and hope to see you soon! Love, The Bingham family.

P.S. Once again if you are a dad we know and love "Happy Father's Day"

Courtney's Graduation!

Courtney graduated on May 22, 2008! Yeah! It is so funny to me to see my little sister all grown up! I am so proud of the woman she has become and I know she will do great things!
The graduation was a nice ceremony with several people who spoke but each one kept it short and sweet:). But Aden wasn't the most pattient member of the family. This is him growing impatient with the whole thing:). But after the ceremony and all the diplomas were given out we were able to get some really cute pictures and even Aden was into that. I think it was mostly the fact he got to streatch his legs finally:)!
This picture is for all those who have been asking to see more of Chris and myself on the blog:) Enjoy!
This is of the Three sisters!
This is of all four of us! The three older siblings"Picking on" Courtney as if her graduation day is any different from the rest:)
This is Courtney with her proud mom and dad:)
And with Luke, Mary, and little Tianna!
And then Courtney with both of her favorite kids:)

Surviving Season Changes

Hey every one I thought I would do an update on our little family. The pictures on this post are some I took of Aden to give to moms and grandmas for Mother's day. Aden was so cute this day and was posing perfectly....enjoy.

So Chris is doing well he has recovered from the mass amounts of snow we had this winter and is now gearing up for the crazy summer season which means lots of rodeo, county fair, and most of all lots and lots of sun screen! He isn't looking forward to the hot hot summer days but he always enjoys working outside and also enjoys the outdoor activities such as fishing and camping and all the fun stuff that goes along with warmer weather!

I am doing pretty well too. My work slows down durring the summer since there aren't as many people taking summer classes as there are durring the spring and fall. I am however applying for a promotion at work. I have submitted my application and letters of recomendation so we are just keeping our fingers crossed at this point. I have also been doing so scrap booking card making and other paper crafts! I love it and have found all kinds of fun stuff to work with....like embellishments and die cutters.....ebay is my friend...I have found alot of supplies for much cheaper on ebay and love getting ideas from others who list their stuff on ebay.

Aden is doing well and he amazes me daily with the new things he learns and comes up with. He has such a a zest for life. It is hard to catch him without a smile on his face. He is quite the chatter box too. His vocabulary has grown so much that I can't even name all the words he says now. We started teaching him sign language which has worked really well. He loves learning new signs and generally learns to say the words as he is learning the sign but if we are unsure of what he is saying the sign helps us know what he wants. He has gotten more liberal with his kisses. In fact alot of the time first thing in the morning he gives me kisses while I am still trieing to wake up....it makes waking up worth it :) Aden has also changed to a big boy bed! He loves his bed but not as much to sleep on as to play on jump on and eat on. He is so funny he will take whatever snack he has and climb up on his bed and sit there to eat it. Or he takes his trucks and makes engine noises (so cute) and drives the trucks all over the bed. He also sleeps in it and I think he likes the fact he can get up when he needs to and he comes and knocks on our bedroom door in the night if he needs us. For the most part it has been a good thing but there are times I miss the containment of the crib. He is such a people person too. Any one who comes over he likes to be right there in the middle of the action. If we are at a restaurant he likes to watch everyone in fact we have a hard time getting him to sit forward in the high chair. In the store he likes to be out on his own and talking and hugging strangers....if confined to the cart he likes to be in the main part where he can see where we are going and all the people around. He also loves going bye bye it doesn't matter where or with who he just wants to go. It is especially bad with mommy of course but also with grandma and grandpa if they come over to visit and think about leaveing without him he gets really upset. Most the time they cave and take him for a little ride or take them home with him and I just come pick him up latter because then he gets to go bye bye with mommy. He also loves playing outside if I take out the garbage or anything outside he wants to come and he gets mad if I make him come in. He loves playing with the puppies too. They love fetch and Clover is patient enough with him that she will go fetch the ball no matter how close he throws it. He loved it the Saturday before Mother's day we were all out in the yard doing yard work and planting a garden and Aden was in his element...DIRT:)!!! In fact Aden loves dirt so much I have had troubles getting him to leave my indoor plants alone. So much so I have to keep putting more dirt in the pots. One day I even cought him dancing on the coffee table with my potted plants in his hands...out of their pots. Needless to say I had a really hard time not laughing. He has gone from walking to out right running....which makes him that much harder to keep up with but it is so fun watching him grow and change.

We are looking forward to playing outside traveling to see our friends and family and all the wonderful things that summer brings. Hope all is well with all our friends and family. Love you, the Binghams:)

Easter.....sorry it took so long

Hey every one sorry it has taken so long to update. These are some pictures of easter. Aden loved the eggs and the fact that they opened and had lots of candy in them.

He would bring them to me and say "Mmmmmmm" which translates to "open this please mommy I want the candy that is inside".

He made out like a bandit....The Easter Bunny brought him toys, sunglasses, stuffed animals, cd's with kids music, and all kinds of candy!

He also had some eggs with Binkis in them....which he calls "mine" because he is very posessive of them, but it is cute the way he takes them and says "MINE!" The only problem he had with all the new binkis is he couldn't have more than one at a time in his mouth so he was juggleing them:)
I hope you liked the new post and enjoyed the pictures. Love, The Bingham family :)

Surviving every day life!

Nothing big to report here but I do have lots of little things to update. Aden is growing and getting more and more personality. He has a pretty good vocabulary... he has said dada and mama for a while now and puppies since Clover (our rat terrier) had puppies in November, but he has added bye bye and most recently MINE!!! He is so funny with that one because we will be getting after him for takeing off with something that is not his and he will just say "mine" and well it is hard not to laugh. He also says things like "thank you" and "be soft" that are unrecognizable unless you know what he is saying.

Aden is so loving...he gives hugs to everyone!!! Strangers in the store and anyone who asks. A select few get pats on the back while they get hugs. And an even selector few have gotten kisses...some times we have to remind him to keep his mouth closed but for the most part it is the sweetest thing in the world when he gives kisses, especially if he gives them without being asked.

We have a music lover on our hands. This little boy loves dancing and singing. In fact when I got him out of bed after his nap today I was listening to my mp3 player. Well he took one of the earbuds out of my ears and tried putting it in his eye...when I redirected it to his ear he started singing along...no words of course but there is definetly a tone to it even if it is no where near the one he is listening to. He dances like crazy too....he even dances to little jinggles on comercials!!!

Just our day to day stuff, but to us it is so fun to watch this little man grow and learn:).
